Healing is experienced, not just learned! Which is what makes the Live group calls (totaling 57 hours in the program) even more important. Every week I’ll lead two group calls: a Q+A call and a guided somatic practice (which we lovingly call the nervous system gym). Every month I’ll host two group calls: a welcome call, and a community connection call. I’ll also lead two 1-1 Somatic Experiencing® demonstration calls each month, with volunteers from the program (this is the only place you can work with me 1:1).

The Body-First Healing Program is a hybrid 6-month course with 25 hours of self-paced modules and live weekly calls. There are two live calls each week—one is a guided practice call to regulate your nervous system and the other is where I answer your questions. I also offer two monthly calls for a Somatic Experiencing® session with me, and two calls that provide an opportunity for the community to connect! There are at least 12 opportunities to connect with me in a call every month!

The Body-First Healing Program is a cutting edge program that provides both educational and experiential healing–across a multitude of modalities, from a world-renowned and trained expert in the space. Somatic coaches and practitioners are plentiful in the healing space today. Yet “somatic” is a term that simply means “body-centered.” The word does not imply trauma-trained.
Brittany’s extensive 3-year in-person training to become an official Somatic Experiencing Practitioner® (a trauma resolution modality), on the other hand, expertly qualifies her to work alongside clients to get to the root of their trauma and chronic dysregulation. This is an increasingly important distinction to make when working with a practitioner or coach. In addition, Britt’s vast hands-on experience and credentials in other healing modalities, spanning 18 years and 3 continents, provides a container where clients feel “in good hands.”.

Lastly, working within a program that caters to both an educational format and experiential format is vital to nervous system healing. Why? Because the nervous system operates through felt experience, not through cognition and learning. This is why we must SHOW, not tell, our nervous system the way back to regulation. Getting out of the head and into the body is where last healing begins.

Can’t attend the live calls? No problem! BFHP members are located all over the world. For this reason, calls will be recorded and provided for limited playback.
If you have a question for Britt to be answered during a Q+A that you can’t attend, you can simply submit questions in a feedback form for personalized support.

The only way to work with me is in the full Body-First Healing Program. You can volunteer to work with me 1-on-1 in our twice-per-month Somatic Experiencing demo sessions and receive personalized support in our weekly Q&A calls!

While the program access is for 6 months, the content is spread over 4 months, providing you with built-in breaks and buffer time as I understand that life happens! I also provide a flexible recommended schedule which accounts for holidays and personal needs.

Depending on your ability to join the Live calls, you can expect to spend roughy 1 hour a week on the video lessons and 1-2 hours a week with me and the community in our Live calls. I even built in two months of flex time since I know life can be unpredictable.

I'm thrilled that you're interested in this modality! This program is designed for personal healing and isn't intended for training purposes. That being said, the somatic healing framework requires that a Practitioner provides a regulated nervous system to guide their clients. Personal regulation and healing is paramount to be an effective and impactful somatic practitioner in this space. Yes, this program helps you understand why you’re chronically stuck in survival states and how trauma overwhelms the nervous system. I’ll guide you through somatic practices to help process and release this stuck energy, and you’ll also be empowered to navigate these states with the completion of your unique nervous system maps (based on the Polyvagal Theory framework).

This is a very common misconception. Trauma isn't always a singular event—it can result from chronic emotional neglect, unsafe environments, or other experiences. By working with implicit (body) memory, this program helps you identify, process, and release chronic trauma stored in your body, even if you can’t recall (explicitly or verbally) specific traumatic events.

Yes, that makes perfect sense because we are bottom-up beings. 80% of the messages we receive are from body to brain, and just 20% are from the brain to body. Therefore, we know trauma resides in the nervous system, not just in the event itself. Talk therapy targets the cognitive mind, while somatic healing addresses the deeper, subconscious parts of the brain and body where trauma is stored, helping you reconnect with a sense of safety. We start body first, and address cognition and meaning making second.

Yes, the program includes specific somatic exercises to help alleviate symptoms of chronic illness, like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. Chronic conditions often stem from nervous system dysregulation, which creates body-wide bracing and collapsing patterns within the: muscles, viscera and joints. The somatic tools and somatic framework within the program guide you toward a state of regulation, ease and relief.

I've had clients who've been able to pay for the program using their FSA or HSA cards, but it really depends on your provider's policies. As a trained Somatic Practitioner, my program is a form of somatic therapy, which sometimes qualifies for coverage. I've also provided Letters of Medical Necessity (LOMN) for some of my clients. This is a document from your licensed healthcare provider recommending a specific treatment, product, or equipment for medical purposes.
